🍰 Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1/3 cup (75ml) warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1 to 1 1/4 cups (250–300g) apricot jam (smooth or slightly chunky)
  • 1 1/2 cups (150g) ground walnuts
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional, but traditional)

For the chocolate glaze:

  • 3 oz (85g) dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil
