Crispy Fried Mushrooms with Cool Ranch Dip

Ingredients (Mushrooms):

  • 12 oz mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for frying

Ingredients (Cool Ranch Dip):

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 1–2 tbsp milk (optional, for thinning)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Mix flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Coat mushrooms in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Mix all dip ingredients and chill briefly.
  7. Serve mushrooms hot with ranch dip.
