
🌯🔥 Wet Burritos with Sauce (Baked Burritos)
Ingredients
Burritos
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1 lb ground beef or shredded chicken
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
Sauce
- 1 can (10 oz / 280 g) enchilada sauce or
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp cumin
Topping
- Extra shredded cheese
- Sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Cook onion and garlic until soft. Add meat and brown.
- Season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in cooked rice and ½ cup cheese.
- Fill tortillas, roll tightly, and place seam-side down in baking dish.
- Pour sauce evenly over burritos.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and melted.
- Serve hot with desired toppings.
