Ingredients
For the sponge:

- 2 cups (200 g) finely ground walnuts
- 2 tbsp plain flour or breadcrumbs (optional, for structure)
- Pinch of salt
For the walnut cream filling:
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1 ½ cups (150 g) ground walnuts
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
For finishing:
- Powdered sugar, cocoa, or chocolate glaze
- Walnut halves for garnish
