Instructions

1. Make the Base

Line a square pan (20×20 cm or 8×8 inch) with parchment paper.
Place a layer of graham crackers or baked puff pastry at the bottom.


2. Prepare the Custard

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together:
    milk + sugar + cornstarch + egg yolks.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  3. Once thick and creamy, remove from heat and stir in:
    butter + vanilla.
  4. Mix until smooth and glossy.

3. Assemble

  • Pour the hot custard over the base.
  • Smooth the top.
  • If using biscuits, add another layer on top (optional).

4. Chill

Refrigerate for 4–6 hours, or overnight, until fully set.
Cut into neat squares using a hot knife.
