🔹 Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
  • ¼ cup (60g) melted butter or oil
  • 1 egg

🔹 Instructions:

Step 1: Activate

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Step 2: Make the Dough

  1. Add egg, melted butter, salt, and flour.
  2. Knead 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.
  3. Dough should be slightly sticky but smooth.

Step 3: First Rise

  • Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.

Step 4: Shape

  1. Punch down dough.
  2. Shape into a loaf or divide into 3–4 balls for extra fluffiness.
  3. Place in greased loaf pan.

Step 5: Second Rise

  • Let rise again 30–45 minutes.

Step 6: Bake

  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes.
  • Brush with butter after baking for a soft crust.

💡 Tips for Extra Softness:

  • Don’t overbake.
  • Cover with a towel while cooling.
  • Use warm (not hot) milk.
