Instructions

1. Make the dough

  1. In a bowl, whisk warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes.
  2. Add yogurt, olive oil, salt, and flour.
  3. Mix and knead 5–7 minutes until soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Cover and let rise 1 hour, until doubled.

2. Shape

  1. Divide dough into 4–6 balls (depending on size you want).
  2. Roll each ball into a round flatbread about ½ inch thick.

3. Cook

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook each bread 1–2 minutes per side until golden spots appear and bread puffs up.

4. Finish (optional but amazing!)

Brush hot bread with:

  • melted butter
  • garlic butter
  • or olive oil + herbs

Tips

✨ Add 1 tbsp sesame seeds or nigella seeds on top before cooking.
✨ Serve with dips, soups, kebab, or even stuffed like a wrap.
