
Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 250 ml warm milk
- 50 g butter (soft)
- 25 g fresh yeast (or 7 g dry yeast)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let sit 10 minutes.
- In a bowl mix flour and salt. Add butter and yeast mixture.
- Knead into a soft dough. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Divide dough into 2–3 balls.
- Roll each ball into a large circle and cut into triangles.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to make a crescent shape.
- Place on a baking tray and let rest 20 minutes.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Optional: sprinkle sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or salt on top before baking.
