
Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 200 g butter (soft)
- 100 g ground walnuts
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt
For coating
- powdered sugar
Filling (optional)
- 150 g ground walnuts
- 80 g sugar
- a little milk
Instructions
- Mix flour, butter, ground walnuts, powdered sugar, egg yolk, vanilla sugar, and salt.
- Knead into a smooth dough.
- Wrap and refrigerate 30–60 minutes.
- Roll small pieces of dough into logs and shape into small crescents.
- If using filling, flatten dough, add walnut mixture, and roll into crescent shape.
- Place on baking tray with baking paper.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- While still warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar.
