Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Pan
- Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Place a wire rack on top of the sheet (optional but recommended for extra crispiness).
- Lay Out the Bacon
- Arrange bacon strips in a single layer on the rack or directly on the lined sheet.
- Make sure strips don’t overlap.
- Bake
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, depending on thickness and desired crispiness.
- Keep an eye in the last few minutes — bacon can go from perfect to burnt quickly!
- Drain & Serve
- Transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
- Serve immediately, or crumble over salads, casseroles, or baked potatoes.
💡 Tips:
- Foil + wire rack method = evenly crispy bacon with less grease.
- For chewy bacon, bake slightly less time; for crispy, bake slightly longer.
- Sprinkle a little brown sugar or black pepper on bacon before baking for a sweet or spicy twist.
- Cook extra — bacon keeps well in the fridge for a week or freezes for easy use later.
