Smoked Cajun Burgers Cheese

🔥 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties
    • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, Cajun seasoning, garlic, onion, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Form into 4–6 burger patties, pressing slightly thinner in the center so they cook evenly.
  2. Smoke the Burgers
    • Preheat smoker or grill to 225°F (110°C) with wood chips (hickory, oak, or mesquite work great).
    • Place patties on the smoker and cook until they reach an internal temp of about 120–125°F (rare to medium-rare stage), around 30–45 minutes.
  3. Sear and Melt the Cheese
    • Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill to high.
    • Sear burgers 1–2 minutes per side for a smoky crust.
    • Place cheese slices on top and cover until melted.
  4. Assemble
    • Spread Cajun mayo on toasted buns.
    • Add lettuce, tomato, burger patty with melted cheese, and any other toppings.
  5. Serve hot with fries, onion rings, or Cajun-spiced potato wedges.
