🛒 Ingredients
- 8 oz (225 g) túró (Hungarian quark)
(or dry cottage cheese / farmer’s cheese, well drained) - 2 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp soft butter
- 1 small onion, very finely minced
- 1–1½ tsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- ½ tsp hot paprika (optional, to taste)
- 1 tsp caraway seeds, lightly crushed (optional but traditional)
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp mustard (optional)

- Mash the base
In a bowl, mash túró with butter until smooth. - Mix
Add sour cream, onion, paprika(s), caraway, mustard, and salt.
Mix until creamy and well combined. - Chill
Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes for flavors to develop. - Serve
Stir once more before serving.
