🥩 Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy

Ingredients
Salisbury Steaks
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
Onion Gravy
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make the patties
In a bowl, mix all steak ingredients until just combined.
Shape into 4–5 oval patties. - Brown the steaks
Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
Brown patties 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. - Cook the onions
In the same skillet, add butter and onions.
Cook until soft and golden. - Make the gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions, stir 1 minute.
Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly.
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. - Simmer
Return patties to the skillet.
Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes until cooked through and gravy thickens.
