🍞 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the dough
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually stir in flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 6–8 minutes, until smooth and elastic (you can use a mixer or your hands).
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size.
2️⃣ Shape the rolls
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12–15 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball.
- Arrange the dough balls close together in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan or round skillet.
3️⃣ Add the garlic herb butter
- Mix together melted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and parsley.
- Brush half of the mixture over the rolls before baking.
4️⃣ Bake
- Cover and let rise for another 20–25 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown on top.
- Brush with the remaining garlic herb butter immediately after baking.
✨ Ashley’s Tips
- Sprinkle a bit of sea salt or Parmesan cheese on top before baking for an extra gourmet touch.
- These reheat beautifully — just wrap them in foil and warm in the oven.
- They pair perfectly with soups, stews, or pasta dishes (especially your Hungarian or Italian favorites! 🍲🍝).
Would you like me to give you a cheesy version next — with melty mozzarella and herbs tucked inside each roll? It’s insanely good! 🧀💛
