👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the Potatoes
    Boil whole, unpeeled potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Let them cool, then peel and slice into rounds.
  2. Prepare the Sour Cream Mixture
    In a bowl, mix the sour cream with the 2 raw eggs, mustard (if using), salt, and pepper. This makes the layers extra creamy and rich — a GastroHobbi signature.
  3. Grease a Casserole Dish
    Use butter or oil to grease a baking dish generously.
  4. Layer the Ingredients
    • Start with a layer of sliced potatoes.
    • Add a layer of sliced hard-boiled eggs.
    • Add sliced sausage.
    • Spoon over some of the sour cream mixture.
    • Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with potatoes and sour cream on top.
  5. Top With Cheese (Optional)
    Sprinkle grated cheese on top for a golden crust.
  6. Bake
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30–40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
