Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs (680 g) Polish sausage (kielbasa), sliced into rounds
- 1 (32 oz / 900 g) jar sauerkraut, drained (but not rinsed, for more flavor)
- 4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- ½ cup chicken broth (or water)
- ½ tsp caraway seeds (optional but authentic!)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste (you may not need much — sauerkraut is already salty)
