
Instructions:
- Prep pan & oven
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat until combined.
- Mix dry ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold into wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
- Add pecans
- Stir in chopped pecans (and chocolate chips, if using).
- Bake
- Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
- Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool & cut
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares or bars.
