Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Knead into a soft dough. Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours.
  4. Cook filling: combine walnuts, sugar, and milk over low heat until thick. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Let cool.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly.
  6. Roll up tightly like a log and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Let rise 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool before slicing.
