
👩🍳 Instructions:
- Prepare the loquats
- Remove skins if desired (they soften during cooking, so this is optional)
- Slice out seeds & the inner membrane
- Cook the jam
- In a pot, combine loquats, sugar, water, lemon juice, and ginger
- Bring to a boil over medium heat
- Reduce to low and simmer 25–35 minutes, stirring occasionally
- As it cooks, mash with a spoon for smoother jam
- Add immune spices
- Stir in turmeric (and cinnamon/cloves if using)
- Simmer 5 more minutes
- Test consistency
- Place a bit on a chilled plate — if it thickens and doesn’t run, it’s ready
- Store
- Pour hot jam into sterilized glass jars
- Seal and let cool
- Refrigerate up to 3 weeks
- For longer storage, process jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes
