2. Make the Dough:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  • Add the yeast mixture, warm milk, and 2 Tbsp oil.
  • Knead until a soft dough forms (about 8–10 minutes).
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

3. Shape and Fry:

  • Divide the dough into 8–10 balls.
  • On an oiled surface, flatten each ball into a disc with your fingers (don’t roll).
  • Heat oil (about 2 inches deep) in a pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry each disc for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
  • Drain on paper towels.
