1. Activate the Yeast:
- In a small bowl, mix yeast, sugar, and warm water.
- Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2. Make the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, warm milk, and 2 Tbsp oil.
- Knead until a soft dough forms (about 8–10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
3. Shape and Fry:
- Divide the dough into 8–10 balls.
- On an oiled surface, flatten each ball into a disc with your fingers (don’t roll).
- Heat oil (about 2 inches deep) in a pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry each disc for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
- Drain on paper towels.
