1. Prepare the Cake

  2. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.

  4. Gently fold in ground walnuts and flour.
  5. Carefully fold in the egg whites until combined.

  8. Let the cake cool completely.

2. Make the Syrup

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and vanilla.
  2. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Brush syrup over the cooled cake layers to keep them moist.

3. Prepare the Frosting

  1. Beat butter with powdered sugar until creamy.
  2. Mix in ground walnuts and vanilla.
  3. Spread frosting between cake layers and on top.

4. Serve

  • Garnish with extra walnuts if desired.
  • Chill for 1–2 hours before serving for best flavor.
