
Ingredients
Dough
- 500 g flour
- 200 g butter
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 200 ml milk
- 20 g fresh yeast (or 7 g dry yeast)
- pinch of salt
Filling
- 300 g ground walnuts
- 150 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- lemon zest (optional)
Top
- melted chocolate or white chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar.
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, egg yolks, salt and yeast mixture.
- Knead into a smooth dough and let rest 30–40 minutes.
- For the filling, heat milk with sugar, add ground walnuts and vanilla, mix until thick.
- Roll the dough into rectangles and spread the filling evenly.
- Roll tightly into logs.
- Bake at 180°C for about 30–35 minutes until golden.
- Let cool and decorate with melted chocolate if desired.
