
Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 250 ml warm milk
- 80 g sugar
- 80 g butter (soft)
- 2 egg yolks
- 25 g fresh yeast (or 7 g dry yeast)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt
For brushing
- 1 egg or melted butter
Optional filling
- jam (apricot, plum, strawberry)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast with a little sugar in warm milk. Let sit 10 minutes.
- In a bowl mix flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt.
- Add egg yolks, butter, and yeast mixture.
- Knead until soft dough forms.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Divide dough into small balls.
- If desired, place 1 tsp jam inside each ball and close.
- Place balls next to each other in a greased baking dish.
- Let rise again 20–30 minutes.
- Brush with egg or butter.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
Soft, fluffy buns that pull apart easily.
