Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • Pinch of salt
  • 10–12 small plums, pitted
  • 10–12 sugar cubes (or 2–3 tbsp sugar mixed with cinnamon)

For the coating:

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
