
These are Hungarian Pancakes (Palacsinta).
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 500 ml milk
- 100 ml sparkling water (or water)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- pinch of salt
Filling (optional)
- jam
- cocoa powder + sugar
- sweet cottage cheese
- Nutella
Instructions
- In a bowl mix eggs, sugar, salt, and milk.
- Add flour slowly and mix until smooth.
- Stir in sparkling water and oil to make a thin batter.
- Heat a lightly oiled pan.
- Pour a small amount of batter and swirl to make a thin pancake.
- Cook about 1 minute per side.
- Spread filling (jam, cocoa sugar, etc.).
- Roll or fold the pancakes.
Serve warm, often topped with powdered sugar or sour cream.
