
🇭🇺 Hungarian Nokedli Dumplings

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- ¾–1 cup water
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil.
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add eggs and water gradually to form a thick, sticky batter.
- Let batter rest 10 minutes (important for tender dumplings).
- Using a spoon, spatula, or nokedli grater, drop small pieces of dough into boiling water.
- When dumplings float, cook 1–2 more minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and toss lightly with butter if desired.
Tips
- Batter should be sticky, not pourable
- Work in batches so water keeps boiling
