1. Prepare the Meringue
- Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat until stiff and glossy.
- Gently fold in vinegar and cornstarch.
- Spread meringue evenly onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake 60–70 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
- Let cool completely.
2. Make the Cream Filling
- Beat butter with powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Fold in chopped nuts if using.
3. Assemble the Cake
- Carefully cut meringue into layers if needed.
- Spread cream between layers.
- Finish with cream on top.
- Garnish with cocoa, chocolate, or nuts.
4. Serve
- Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing to set.
