✨ Ingredients:
For the Dough (makes 3 thin layers):
- 500 g (about 4 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150 g (2/3 cup) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 100 g (7 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened
- 200 ml (about 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) whole milk
- Pinch of salt
For the Lemon Cream Filling:
- 500 ml (2 cups) whole milk
- 4 tbsp semolina (or substitute with flour)
- 200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
- 250 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- Juice and zest of 1 large lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
