
Hungarian Layered Potatoes (Rakott Krumpli)
Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 4–5 eggs
- 250 g Hungarian smoked sausage (kolbász), sliced
- 250 g sour cream
- 2 tbsp butter or lard
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in their skins until tender; cool, peel, and slice.
- Hard-boil eggs, peel, and slice.
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer potatoes, salt lightly, add eggs, sausage, and sour cream. Repeat layers.
- Finish with potatoes and a thick layer of sour cream. Dot with butter.
- Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 35–40 minutes until golden.
Serve warm.
