🛒 Ingredients
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (100 g) ground walnuts (traditional)
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, cold & cubed
- ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For Coating
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Make the Dough
- Mix flour, ground walnuts, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add vanilla and gently knead until dough comes together.
- Chill
- Wrap dough and refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Shape
- Take small pieces of dough.
- Roll into thin logs and shape into crescents.
- Bake
- Place on lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 12–15 minutes.
- Cookies should stay pale, not brown.
- Coat
- While still warm, roll gently in vanilla powdered sugar.
