Hungarian Goulash – Traditional Beef Goulash

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
  2. Stir in garlic and paprika, mix quickly to avoid burning.
  3. Add beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Pour in broth or water, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5–2 hours until the beef is tender.
  6. Add potatoes, carrots, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Cook for another 30–40 minutes until vegetables are soft.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
