1. Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add egg and mix until dough comes together. Add milk if too dry.
- Divide dough into 3 equal portions. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
2. Prepare the Walnut Filling

3. Assemble the Cake

- Roll out one portion of dough and place in a greased 9×13-inch pan.

- Spread apricot jam on top of the walnuts.
- Roll out second portion of dough and place over filling.
- Spread remaining walnut filling and top with the third rolled dough layer.
- Bake 35–40 minutes, until golden brown.
4. Add the Chocolate Glaze
- Melt chocolate and butter together.
- Pour over the cooled cake and spread evenly.
- Let chocolate set before slicing.
5. Serve
- Slice into squares or rectangles.
- Serve with tea or coffee for a classic Hungarian treat.
