For the custard base:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3–4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the meringue islands:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar

Optional topping:

  • Caramel sauce or toasted almonds
