Hungarian Cold Dough Nut Cookies – Recipe Only

Ingredients – Dough Layers:

  • 300 g plain biscuits, finely crushed
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 100 g butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Ingredients – Walnut Cream Filling:

  • 200 g butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup ground walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Mix crushed biscuits, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla; mix into a soft dough.
  3. Divide dough into two equal parts.
  4. Cream butter with powdered sugar, add walnuts and vanilla.
  5. Press one dough layer into a lined pan.
  6. Spread walnut cream evenly on top.
  7. Cover with second dough layer, pressing gently.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Slice and serve cold.
