  • 2 carrots (sliced)
  • 1 parsley root (or parsnip, sliced)
  • 1 onion (whole or halved)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1.5–2 L water
  • fresh parsley

Semolina Dumplings

  • 1 egg
  • 3–4 tbsp semolina
  • pinch of salt
