Hungarian Chicken Paprikash – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, or mixed)
  • 2 tbsp oil or lard
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 2–3 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 green pepper (optional)
  • 200 ml (¾ cup + 1 tbsp) sour cream
  • 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 200–300 ml (¾–1¼ cup) water or chicken broth
