
Instructions
1. Cook the Chicken
- Heat oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
2. Add Paprika
- Remove the pan briefly from heat and stir in the paprika to prevent burning.
3. Simmer
- Add chicken pieces, tomato, and bell pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 35–40 minutes until the chicken is tender.
4. Make the Creamy Sauce
- In a bowl, mix sour cream with flour and a few spoonfuls of the hot sauce from the pot.
- Stir the mixture back into the pot and simmer gently for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Prepare the Dumplings
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, eggs, and enough water to form a thick batter.
- Drop small spoonfuls of batter into boiling water.
- Cook 2–3 minutes until dumplings float, then drain.
6. Serve
- Spoon chicken paprikás over the dumplings and garnish with fresh parsley.
