
Ingredients
- 700 g potatoes, peeled & diced
- 500 g white cabbage, shredded
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 tbsp oil or lard
- 1½ tsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- 200 ml water or broth
Instructions
- Heat oil/lard in a pot. Sauté onion until soft.
- Remove from heat, stir in paprika.
- Add potatoes, cabbage, salt, pepper, and caraway.
- Pour in water/broth.
- Cover and simmer 30–35 minutes until tender.
- Stir gently and adjust seasoning.
