
Ingredients
- 300 g dry beans (soaked overnight)
- 300 g pork or beef (cubed)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- 1 smoked sausage (sliced)
- salt
- black pepper
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1.5–2 liters water
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pot and sauté chopped onion until soft.
- Remove from heat, add paprika and mix.
- Add meat cubes and cook for a few minutes.
- Add garlic, beans, carrots, sausage, caraway seeds, salt and pepper.
- Pour in water and cook about 60 minutes.
- Add potatoes and cook another 20–30 minutes until everything is tender.
Serve hot with bread.
