👩🍳 Directions
1. Make the patties:
Mix all steak ingredients in a bowl. Form into 4 oval patties. Don’t overmix — keep it tender!
2. Brown them:
Heat oil in a skillet. Sear patties on both sides until browned (they’ll finish cooking in the gravy). Remove and set aside.
3. Make the gravy:
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions until golden and soft (about 10 minutes). Sprinkle in flour, cook 1–2 mins.
4. Add broth:
Slowly whisk in beef broth. Add Worcestershire, season with salt & pepper, and simmer until thickened.
5. Finish the dish:
Return the patties to the pan. Simmer in the gravy for 10–15 minutes on low until fully cooked through and juicy.
🍽️ Serve With:
- Mashed potatoes (the classic!)
- Buttered green beans, roasted carrots, or corn on the cob
- Or make it southern-style with creamy grits 😋
💡 Ashley’s Tip:
Make a double batch and freeze the patties raw. Future you will thank you on a busy night! 🙌
