
Hamburger Potato Casserole 🥔🍔
A hearty, budget-friendly comfort food made with layers of seasoned ground beef and tender potatoes in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven
Preheat to 350°F (180°C). Grease a casserole dish. - Cook Beef
Heat oil in a pan, cook ground beef with onion until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain excess fat. - Assemble Casserole
Layer half of the potatoes in the dish. Add half of the beef mixture.
Repeat layers. - Add Sauce
Mix soup with milk and pour evenly over the casserole. Sprinkle cheese on top. - Bake
Cover with foil and bake 45–50 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Uncover and bake 10 more minutes until golden. - Serve
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
💡 Tip: Add sliced mushrooms or green beans for extra flavor and texture.
