🥩 Ground Beef & Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
Mashed Potatoes
- 2 lbs (1 kg) potatoes, peeled & cubed
- Salt
- ¼ cup milk (or cream)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Black pepper to taste
Beef & Gravy
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mashed Potatoes
Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender.
Drain, mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Keep warm. - Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with onion.
Drain excess fat. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds. - Make the Gravy
Add butter to the skillet. Sprinkle in flour, stir 1 minute.
Slowly pour in beef broth, stirring constantly.
Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Simmer
Let gravy thicken 5–8 minutes. - Serve
Spoon beef & gravy generously over mashed potatoes.
