Introduction
At the end of March, I stepped on the scale and saw a number that shook me: 254 pounds. As a size 18, I knew I needed a change—not just for my appearance, but for my health, confidence, and future. My goal? 140 pounds. Today, I’m thrilled to say I’ve not only reached that goal but surpassed it—weighing in at 138 pounds and fitting into a size 6! This journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth every sacrifice. Here’s how I did it.
1. Setting a Clear Goal
I didn’t just say, “I want to lose weight.” I set a specific, measurable target: 140 pounds. Breaking it down into smaller milestones (like 10-pound increments) kept me motivated.
2. Nutrition: Fueling My Body Right
- Cutting processed foods & sugar – I focused on whole, nutrient-dense meals.
- Portion control – Learning proper serving sizes was a game-changer.
- Meal prepping – Planning ahead prevented impulsive, unhealthy choices.
