Fluffy Milk Bread Loaf 🍞🥛

Ingredients

  • 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) warm milk
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) warm water
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Make the dough
    • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
    • Add warm milk, water, egg, and butter.
    • Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First rise
    • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
  3. Shape
    • Punch down, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  4. Second rise
    • Cover and rise 35–45 minutes until puffy.
  5. Bake
    • Bake at 175°C / 350°F for 30–35 minutes until golden.
  6. Finish
    • Brush hot loaf with butter for extra softness.

Ultra-soft, lightly sweet, and perfect for sandwiches or toast.
