
Fluffy Milk Bread Loaf 🍞🥛
Ingredients
- 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup (180 ml) warm milk
- ¼ cup (60 ml) warm water
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- Make the dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, water, egg, and butter.
- Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First rise
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
- Shape
- Punch down, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Second rise
- Cover and rise 35–45 minutes until puffy.
- Bake
- Bake at 175°C / 350°F for 30–35 minutes until golden.
- Finish
- Brush hot loaf with butter for extra softness.
