
Fluffy Baked Milk Soufflé ☁️🥛
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk
- 3 large eggs (separated)
- ⅓ cup (70 g) sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Butter (for greasing)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare the base
- In a saucepan, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Whisk in egg yolks one at a time.
- Whip egg whites
- Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
- Fold gently
- Fold egg whites into the milk mixture in 2–3 additions, gently.
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
- Butter a baking dish or ramekins.
- Pour mixture in.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.
- Serve immediately
- Dust with powdered sugar.
