🇭🇺 Easy Hungarian Goulash – Recipe Only
Ingredients
- 1½ lb (700 g) beef, cut into cubes
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper (optional)
- 2 medium potatoes, cubed
- 4 cups water or beef broth
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pot and cook onions until soft and lightly golden.
- Remove from heat, add paprika, and stir well.
- Return to heat, add beef, salt, and pepper; cook a few minutes.
- Add garlic, tomato, bell pepper, and water or broth.
- Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.
- Add potatoes and cook 20–25 minutes until tender.
- Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve.
