
⭐ Instructions
1. Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, whisk together:
warm milk + sugar + yeast. Rest 5 minutes. - Add eggs + melted butter + salt.
- Add flour gradually and knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
2. First Rise
- Place dough in an oiled bowl.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
3. Shape the Doughnuts
- Roll out dough to about 1.5 cm / ½ inch thick.
- Cut circles with a doughnut cutter or two round cutters (one big, one small).
- Place on a floured tray and cover for 30 minutes to puff up again.
4. Fry
- Heat oil to 170–180°C / 340–350°F.
- Fry doughnuts until golden on each side (about 1 minute per side).
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
5. Coat or Glaze
While still warm:
- Roll in sugar or cinnamon sugar
OR - Dip in chocolate glaze
OR - Dust with powdered sugar
🍩 Simple Chocolate Glaze (Optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla
Mix until smooth and dip doughnuts while warm.
