
Instructions
- Beat egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until pale.
- Fold egg whites into yolk mixture, then gently add flour.
- Divide batter into 6 thin layers and bake each at 180°C (350°F) for 6–8 minutes.
Buttercream
5. Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
6. Add melted chocolate and vanilla, mix until smooth.
Assemble
7. Spread chocolate cream between each cake layer.
Caramel Top
8. Melt sugar with lemon juice until golden caramel forms.
9. Pour over the top layer and quickly cut into slices before it hardens.
- Place caramel layer on top and chill before serving.
