
🍝🧀 Creamy Italian Sausage Tortellini
Ingredients
- 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
- 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy), casings removed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown sausage, breaking it up. Remove excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Pour in cream and chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan and Italian seasoning until sauce is creamy.
- Add cooked tortellini and toss gently to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish and serve hot.
