
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in the grated apple.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined. Add walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft.
- Let cool slightly before enjoying warm with milk, tea, or coffee. ☕
